Pyrosal Syrup 125ml

Pyrosal syrup is a preparation based on the extract of four herbs: willow bark, coltsfoot flower, lime inflorescence and elder leaf, traditionally used as an adjunct in low-grade fever in the course of tonsillitis, influenza, pharyngitis and bronchitis. The active herbal components contained in the syrup exhibit mainly an antipyretic, diaphoretic and anti-inflammatory action.

Effects:

Pyrosal syrup mainly has an antipyretic action. It affects the thermoregulation centre and stimulates sweat glands, increasing heat loss thanks to the synergistic action of the active substances contained in the preparation. The substances responsible for its central action are salicin and its esters, which undergo transformation to salicylic acid, while the remaining components of the drug exhibit a diaphoretic action. The preparation induces sweating and lowering of body temperature.

Intended use:

Antipyretic agent used as adjunctive in common cold, with anti-inflammatory and diaphoretic action, especially in tonsillitis, influenza, pharyngitis and bronchitis.

Dosage:

Children from 1 to 2 years of age: 1 teaspoonful twice daily.
Children from 2 to 3 years of age: 1 teaspoonful 3 times daily.
Children over 3 years old: 1 teaspoonful 4 times daily.
Adults: 1 tablespoonful 3 times daily.
The drug should not be used in children below 1 year of age without consulting the doctor.

Composition:

Fluid extract (1:1) of:
elder leaf, coltsfoot flower, lime inflorescence, willow bark (25:30:30:15) - 10.0 parts
Blackberry concentrate - 5.0 parts
Blackberry aroma - 0.5 part
Sugar - 60.0 parts
Water - 24.5 parts - 24.5 parts

Using during pregnancy and breastfeeding:
should not be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
