Venescin Gel

Venescin is a compound preparation containing chestnut seeds extract and troxerutin, which have a toning and sealing action on the veins, improve the condition of endothelia of the capillaries, deceasing their fragility and permeability. The drug is used in disturbances of venous circulation - varicose veins and varicose leg ulcers, in thrombophlebilits and oedemas from various causes, adjunctively in disturbances of microcirculation manifested by fragility and increased permeability of blood vessels. Venescin is also formulated as coated tablets for internal use.

EFFECTS
Thanks to the presence of troxerutin and chestnut seeds extract, the preparation has a sealing and toning action on the veins, improves the condition of endothelia of the capillaries, deceasing their fragility and permeability, counteracts oedemas and has an anti-inflammatory action.

INTENDED USE
The drug is used in disturbances of venous circulation, varicose veins and varicose leg ulcers (except for open wounds), thrombophlebilits and in oedemas from various causes as well as in disturbances of microcirculation manifested by fragility and increased permeability of capillaries.

DOSAGE
The drug is intended for external use: apply a small amount of the gel (about 2 cm) onto the affected areas twice daily, gently rubbing until complete absorption, i.e. until the skin becomes dry.

CONTRAINDICATIONS
The drug should not be used in hypersensitivity to the components of the gel nor should it be applied onto open wounds, mucous membranes and skin areas exposed to radiation in the course of radiotherapy.

ADVERSE EVENTS
Transient feeling of warmth and irritation, in hypersensitive persons hives may occur.

Basis: carbopol, glycerol, Euxyl K-400 (methyldibromo glutaronitrile, phenoxyethanol), water ad 100 g
