Venescin is a compound preparation containing chestnut seeds extract, aesculine and rutoside, which have a toning and sealing action on the veins, improve the condition of endothelia of the capillaries, deceasing their fragility and and permeability. The drug is used in disorders of venous circulation - varicose veins, haemorrhoids, oedemas, adjunctively in disorders of microcirculation manifested by fragility and increased permeability of blood vessels. Venescin is also formulated as a gel for external use.
EFFECTS
The main components of the chestnut seeds extract, aescin and rutoside, affect the condition of endothelia of the capillaries, decreasing their fragility and permeability, thus counteracting exudates, sealing the walls of capillaries.
INTENDED USE
The drug is used in disorders of venous circulation - varicose veins, haemorrhoids, oedemas from various causes, in disorders of microcirculation manifested by fragility and increased permeability of blood vessels.
DOSAGE
Adults: 2 coated tablets 3 times daily.
Children over 6 years of age: 1 coated tablet 3 times daily.
The preparation should not be given to children below 6 years of age.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Allergy to the components of the preparation.
ADVERSE EVENTS
Nausea, gastrointestinal symptoms and allergic reactions may occur in isolated cases.
COMPOSITION
Each coated tablet contains:
Chestnut seeds dry extract 25 mg
Rutoside 15 mg
Aesculine (6,7-dicoumarin 6-glucoside) 0.5 mg
Excipients: potato starch, magnesium stearate, rosin, castor oil, Arabic gum, talc, sucrose, indigotine, quinolone yellow ad 100 mg.

USING THE DRUG DURING PREGNANCY
AND BREASTFEEDING
Due to the presence of aescin do not use in the first trimester of pregnancy. In the remaining periods of pregnancy and during breastfeeding use the drug as directed by the doctor.
